New Zealand cycling tours

Want to extend your cycling season further, how about New Zealand?

The popular duo of Kiwi Alan and his French wife Marie-Françoise led tours for us here in France in excess of 10 years.

At the end of French summer days, Alan and Marie-Françoise headed back to Alan's home country of New Zealand to enjoy summer year-round! Summer is December through March in New Zealand and like many Alan takes full advantage of extending his summer outdoors!

When not on his bike, Alan spends his days as a professional fly fishing guide and creating Steel Bank Nymphs. Not familiar with these? For any avid fisherman/woman click here to discover the latest trend.

For the last few years (pre-Covid) Alan was running self-guided and guided tours for our joint customers around New Zealand’s South Island.

With borders reopening, we will continue to partner with Alan. Alan will be updating the existing Alps to Ocean tour with the goal to launch for 2023. Starting at iconic Mount Cook (Aoraki in Maori) in the Southern Alps, the route follows traffic-free trails past lakes and over rivers to arrive at the Pacific Ocean at the charming town of Oamaru on Friendly Bay.

If you are looking to travel to New Zealand or if you are already resident in New Zealand and are interested in joining a tour for 2023; send us an email with your anticipated dates and we can keep you up to date.
